The Match!

Heres some pics from the match. Still cant get video up but whatever... I was standing directly under the second story balcony of the bar. Well, Wales missed the kick and I dont think there was a dry spot on my t-shirt. Ick...guiness is sticky.

So I have about 10ish vids from the Rugby match saturday. The view of the 30 minute line that we waited in to get into the pub at 4:30! (ya-that was an hour before the game...), the 3 story bar we were at (PACKED!) shoulder to shoulder, and the screaming, singing, electric crowd huddled around the TVs in the bar. Unfortunately, Im not having the best of luck uploading them onto the page. Sorry mates- you'll just have to listen to my caffeine-fueled babble in its place.

Better news though, is the phone call I made to the Foggy Dew yesterday. Apparently they have a string of pubs in temple bar and around Dublin, and one is always looking for a bartender. Heading down there today, hope this turns out! Travis- we might be working at the same bar. Except Dublin is cooler than T.O. haha sorry bud.

Friday Night Music...

Friday seemed to be a bit of a temple bar tour. Met up with Roomies and decided to go for a pint to celebrate. Italians... seemed to think it was pretty hilarious that the only italian I know was A Fonculo! Dont know how to spell it either.

I have a few vids from the night as well, including this guy who was chicken dancing infront of a pub (not too sure where his friends were to save him on that one...), and several of the street performers that night, but it wont let me upload em. Sorry guys...Ill try later...

Saturday...

So anyway, now we're (finally!) up to date. Apparently theres a rugby match on Saturday (playoffs?). I have a feeling it'll be pretty crazy. More soon!

Everything in here is so huge! Had to take my hat off cuz it kept falling off from looking up...

Also had some amazing stonework. Some more gothic in style, but some romanesque. Guess it gives you an idea of how incrdible old the church is..

Some stuff from the Cathedral...I'm not religeous, but there's a certain feeling in there. Not sure what it was, but sure was calming. I even made it just in time for the 10am service.

Had to do this... I seem to have a habit of looking right. Ill catch on sooner or later.

There was also a cemetary at the base of the towers, with stones dating from late 1800s to early 1900's. Completely incredible.

Next day, hung-over and jet lagged (probably the reason you wont be seeing me in any of these pictures) headed up into the mountains to see some ruins and the towers they used to hide during invasions! They would climb up inside then pull the rope up so no one could get them!

And then the view, from bottom of the tower, looking up. Felt a little dizzy with guiness head staring straight up, but hey I got the pic didnt I?

Both of these were from the bay windows in the hotel, about 6:30pm. I was trying to figure out where all the yelling and screaming was coming from, but the nightclub apparently had been raging since it opened- at 2pm. Nice. Sorry guys- no more pictures from the rest of the night. Too busy celebrating. I was pretty surprised to see nighclubs going so early, but everyone I talked to looked at me like I was crazy and said -Of course! Its Ireland!-

Found this little pic right next to the entrance for the plane to Dublin (smallest plane Ive ever seen). Thought it was hilarious. I almost asked the kid playing directly below it to take her picture. Probably would've been inappropriate. :p
